KAWAI K3 SCORES HISTORIC WIN

4th Year in a Row as “Acoustic Piano of the Year”

Rancho Dominguez, CA • January, 2012 – Once again, the venerable Kawai K3 Professional Upright Piano has been named “Acoustic Piano of the Year”. The instrument received the 2011 MMR Dealers Choice Award as such, marking the fourth year in a row to receive the prestigious award. The Dealers Choice Award was presented to Mr. Hirotaka Kawai by MMR magazine’s Rick Kessel at the recent 2012 Winter NAMM Show held in Anaheim, CA.

Each year, MMR Magazine asks its readers in the US and Canada to submit their votes for Product of the Year in various categories within the music products industry. Winners are then named in the December issue of the magazine. “This award carries the highest level of prestige, because it is awarded based upon the sentiment of music retailers all across North America”, explains Kawai’s Sr. Vice President, Brian Chung. “Not only is this the fourth year in row for the K3, but a Kawai piano or digital piano has won a Dealers Choice award now eleven out of the past twelve years,” Mr. Chung adds.

The K3 is part of the K Series Professional Upright series of pianos from Kawai. It is one of the best loved and most successful models of Kawai instruments of all time.
